Generally 24 hour chairs are designed for prolonged use and/or multi user applications.

Typically these refer to call centres, police stations, control rooms, hospitals and security centres to name but a few.

Additionally, certain employments entail long hours of being seated, so its crucial that the user is comfortable and able to find the correct posture on a chair which is going to be up to the challenge.

There would also be a fair option of adjustability in the chair for height and rake, again so as to adapt for the individual preference. So considering these factors, a 24 hour chair may cost that little bit more but it should perform as well as a standard office chair only in more extreme usage.
